Applications Engineer Supervisor

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join their growing team.

Location - Minneapolis,Minnesota

Responding directly with customers and company personnel to provide technical support (including applications and design expertise) and prepare proposals for standard equipment, modification/retro fit of equipment, parts and field service, installation and other products sold.

Qualifications:

• Technical degree or experience in RO equipment sizing

• Experience in assembly, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and or repair of various pieces of mechanical equipment. This experience should include interacting with customers or internal personnel preferably providing technical support.

•Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, Excel, Word, PPT etc.

•Knowledge of CAD programs to generate drawings and support documents.

•Ability to travel in support of product

•Ability to organize time and meet specific deadlines •Experience performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting of water treatment systems.

•Strong technical writing, verbal communications and interpersonal skills.

•Knowledge of manufacturing drawings, technical procedures and governmental regulations. •Must exhibit tact in conflict resolution.

•Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limit standardization exists.

•Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

Responsibilities:

•Supports the sales organization by: respond to general inquiries and quality leads, review requests for proposals, prepare proposals to define scope of supply outlining conformance and deviation to specifications, develop tools for presenting proposals and develop and review process and instrumentation diagrams outlining the scope of a water treatment system.

•Performs engineering support activities for the service (installation) group such as bringing procedures to service equipment under document control.

•Tracks and reports sales activities (proposals) on a weekly basis. •Provides technical support for customers and in house personnel

•Participates in the After Hours Emergency Technical Assistance Program.

•Supports the service (installation) organization with communications,administrative and technical skills. •Management may assign other duties as required.
