Senior Field Service Engineer

Our client has a great opportunity for a talented Sr. Field Service Engineer to join their team!

This position will be responsible for servicing and troubleshooting complex high purity water treatment equipment (Reverse Osmosis, EDI, MES, PSG, VCS) focused on the BioPharma market. General responsibilities include electrical and mechanical testing, advanced troubleshooting and repairs, system cleaning, disinfection, calibrations and other required services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to complete equipment troubleshooting, maintenance and service activity runs to ensure system performance without supervision.

  • Familiar with Allan Bradley PLC.

  • Sample collection at customer sites and analytical chemistry tests specific to each site.

  • Lead repairs and upgrades performed at customer sites, coordinating the work during customer shutdowns.

  • Maintenance of accurate records and communication of all data on customer sites.

  • Provide safety and application training to customer.

  • Prepare and submit to customer and superiors “service” reports detailing maintenance preformed and equipment / application status.

  • Provide technical assistance to maximize equipment systems and application benefits to customer.

  • Maintain and manage basic routine spare parts inventory.

  • Maintain an awareness of current chemistry, application, and regulatory, developments pertaining to the Medical and High Purity Water treatment business. Maintain situational awareness of assigned customer base to make sure company is adequately servicing customers.

Qualifications:


  • Advanced understanding of water chemistry and water treatment equipment, and the ability to train customers on the operation and maintenance of the systems being installed.

  • Advanced mechanical and electrical skills

  • Ability to complete complex electrical tasks including work with high and low voltage electrical per Company Workmanship Standards. Understanding and troubleshooting of basic hydraulics.

  • Install, start-up and train customers on High Purity Water Systems.

  • Problem-solver with ability to troubleshoot issues over the phone

  • Basic computer skills required including basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in water treatment service and installation.

Education: An ideal candidate typically possesses a Bachelor’s Degree; at a minimum, Associates or Technical Degree with 5 to 7 years industry-relevant experience. Ability to work a variety of schedules including nights, weekends and holidays, and the ability to take assignments on short notice.
