Product Engineer

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Product Engineer by supporting the needs of their internal and external customers with respect to technical/engineering services, including product design, process materials engineering, technical support and product training to channel partners.

Location - West Toronto

Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve as the technical expert for valve products and accessories.

· Create and maintain technical marketing tools such as product documentation.

· Engage with channel partners and prospects supporting technical needs.

· Work closely with various departments to drive product design, development and production efficiency.

· Assist with research and development on prototypes and special projects.

· Facilitate large orders or projects; which could include delivering samples, creating technical reports or visiting the end user.

· Support other departments regarding production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes

· Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods and work flow.

· Design tooling and fixtures and provide training on their use

· Provide technical review for quality control, non-conformances and continuous improvements.

Requirements:

· Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing experience

· Degree in engineering preferable in mechanical or manufacturing

· Prior experience working with engineers within end user organizations.

· Able to diagnose complex technical issue with valve product applications.

· Possess a strong engineering knowledge of industrial products.

· Able to create extensive pattern and product drawings in Solidworks.

· An effective team player in support of continuous process improvement.

· Able to travel within Canada and the USA, if required.
