Business Development Representative
Our client has an exciting role for a Business Development Representative in the GTA whom is responsible for covering geographic regions as assigned to ensure that annual sales revenue and profit targets are met. Responsibilities: Drive business growth and expand the market/wallet share with key, target and growth customers by employing a systematic ‘projects pursuit’ approach as follows: Prospect and qualify projects Account Management activities with existing customers. Understand the competitive marketplace and seek new opportunities. Execute secondary sales efforts on companies directly involved in the completion of the end user’s projects. Work closely with any additional project influencers (organizations and companies) and act as a liaison between all parties on all projects. Prioritize promotional activities towards projects with greater than $20,000 potential with high conversion probability. Utilize a team approach/collaboration with other Sales personnel as required. Develop, obtain management approval and implementation of sales plans, strategies and tactics to achieve results. Gather and share market intelligence with management to help make optimal pricing, marketing and sales decisions. Enhance target markets’ awareness and acceptance of company products and services. Creating, managing and updating project opportunities in CRM to track progress and measure performance. Education/Experience: Demonstrated ability to proactively identify opportunities and successfully close business. Excellent business acumen to maximize sales and profitability. Minimum of 2 years in successfully utilizing a professional sales process system such as Sandler, SPIN or Miller Heiman. Previous experience in our target markets Environmental and Geotechnical along with industry contacts would be an asset. Preference for a degree or diploma related to environmental science/instrumentation. Ability to travel
Salary - Solid base plus commission (uncapped)
