Sr. Controls Engineer

Location - Saginaw,Michigan

Duties:

• Performing Company services to meet client needs, with a specific focus on Control Systems Designing, developing and implementing solutions to resolve customer issues

• Consulting with and training end users on new applications

• Assisting in project development and planning

• Performing onsite surveys, pilots, testing and demos as needed

Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field (ChE, EE, EET, ME, MET or comparable) and 7+ years overall exper ience or Associate’s Degree with 10+ years overall experience. An equivalent combination of experience and t raining will also be considered.

• Experience with industrial application programming languages

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience with:

  • DCS Platforms (ABB, Emerson, Honeywell, Schneider/Foxboro) OR

  • PLC Programming experience with one of the following platforms: Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric/ Modicon, Siemens

• Control Systems implementation, design, installs, testing, and troubleshooting

• Basic understanding of Electrical Schematics, ladder logic, and control concepts

• Excellent level of general computer technology knowledge, from gSuite and MS Office to TCP/IP configuration

• Acute attention to detail and process

• Strong ability to solve problems and research solutions

• Excellent customer service attitude

Willing and able to travel (this position requires independent travel to customer locations on occasion) Preferred experience:

• ABB 800xA graphics and configuration

• Dowtran/MOD 5 programming and/or hardware experience

• AutoCAD or Drafting experience

• Networking experience (Ethernet IP, Modbus, etc)

Salary - Commensurate with experience.
