Environmental Division Manager
Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Environmental practitioner with leadership abilities and core competencies to join our team in Head office as their Division Manager for the Environmental Division. As our Division Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and work a variety of types and scale of projects will vary from stand-alone environmental projects to integrated design engineering projects involving various engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities-
Develop new business opportunities and establish strategic relationships with key clients, agencies, and partners
Lead diverse environmental projects; envision, manage technical, logistical, and financial aspects, and carry out environmental deliverables from proposal stage through to commissioning
Support internal clients across the region (Vancouver Region Engineering, Land Development, Municipal, Infrastructure, and Design Build teams) and branches across the company to support local projects
Assist the Branch Manager in branch operations including business development, workload, staffing, equipment, safety, quality, and financial outcomes
Assist the Corporation in developing and executing branch strategic plans and budgets
Represent Company to the external environment including clients, business partners, and professional associations to enhance company’s positive public profile
Have good working knowledge of legislation and regulations as they pertain to environmental standards and have led a wide range of environmental monitoring programs.
Responsible for managing the day to day of the Environmental & Hydrogeological Groups, conduct business development, field activities and office activities related to the collection, assessment, and reporting of environmental data gathered during construction and operations.
Managing all technical aspects of the “Environmental Division”, provide Environmental, Hydrogeological, Designated Substance Study, Natural Science (Ecological Studies) and other services such Environmental Impact Assessments etc. for private and public clients.
Qualifications Degree in Environmental Biology/Sciences or Environmental Engineering from an accredited university with strong technical skills and 10+ years of related technical experience
Stay current with changing regulatory legislation and the procurement of a variety of provincial and federal permits, licenses, and approvals
Registration in good standing as a Registered Professional Biologist or Professional Engineer in Ontario
Completion of all stages of EAs and ESAs including proposal preparation, field planning, data interpretation, report review, and remediation recommendations
Providing environmental advice and solutions internally and externally to guide design and assist with planning
Proven ability to develop and retain clients, win projects, and consistently provide high quality deliverables on time and on budget
Demonstrated sound business development skills
Aptitude for leadership, continuous learning, knowledge sharing and relationship building
Proficient in anticipating problems and executing appropriate solutions
Ability to prioritize, delegate responsibilities, and motivate others to produce high-level results
Salary – Commensurate with experience
