Junior Environmental Technician
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the successful candidate will be joining a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment. This opportunity will be best suited for individuals that are self-motivated, hardworking, and passionate about the environmental field.
Location - GTA/Southern Ontario
Responsibilities:
Phase I Environmental Assessments, including site visits (for various establishments including residential, commercial, light industrial etc
Responsible for the completion of various field investigations (test pits, borehole drilling, sampling), monitoring and associated reporting for a variety of Environmental Services, including, but not limited to: Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I and Phase II ESAs) DSS etc.
Field supervision of remediation activities (UST Removals, Soil and/or Groundwater Remediation Oversight).
Some data tabulation and report writing, borehole log preparation (GINT software), as required
Reporting in support of Phase I and II ESA reports or in support of O.Reg. 153 Phase One and Two ESA reports
Experience:
Environmental/Geological/Civil Technician Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Natural Sciences (Earth Science, Environmental Science, or Engineering);
0 to 2 years of related field experience for environmental works (drilling, sampling, remediation oversight);
Willingness to travel across Ontario and Canada and participate in field programs (as needed)
Working knowledge of Provincial and Federal Environmental regulations in addition to filing of RSCs
Experience working in environmental consulting would be considered an asset;
Strong computer skills;
Effective writing and communication skills;
A valid driver's G license and access to a vehicle are required, as this role will include field visits to client sites.
