Junior Environmental Technician

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the successful candidate will be joining a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment. This opportunity will be best suited for individuals that are self-motivated, hardworking, and passionate about the environmental field.

Location - GTA/Southern Ontario

Responsibilities:

• Phase I Environmental Assessments, including site visits (for various establishments including residential, commercial, light industrial etc

• Responsible for the completion of various field investigations (test pits, borehole drilling, sampling), monitoring and associated reporting for a variety of Environmental Services, including, but not limited to: Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I and Phase II ESAs) DSS etc.

• Field supervision of remediation activities (UST Removals, Soil and/or Groundwater Remediation Oversight).

• Some data tabulation and report writing, borehole log preparation (GINT software), as required

• Reporting in support of Phase I and II ESA reports or in support of O.Reg. 153 Phase One and Two ESA reports

Experience:

• Environmental/Geological/Civil Technician Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Natural Sciences (Earth Science, Environmental Science, or Engineering);

• 0 to 2 years of related field experience for environmental works (drilling, sampling, remediation oversight);

• Willingness to travel across Ontario and Canada and participate in field programs (as needed)
  

• Working knowledge of Provincial and Federal Environmental regulations in addition to filing of RSCs

• Experience working in environmental consulting would be considered an asset;

• Strong computer skills;

• Effective writing and communication skills;

• A valid driver's G license and access to a vehicle are required, as this role will include field visits to client sites.

  
  

Salary - Commensurate with experience
