Pharmaceutical Development Scientist

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmaceutical Development Scientist to join their dynamic research and development team. As a key member of the organization, they will play a crucial role in advancing our pharmaceutical product portfolio focused on late stage development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical sciences, formulation development, drug delivery and an understanding of regulatory requirements.





Location - Southern California


Responsibilities:


· Design and execute formulation development experiments for drug products.

· Conduct pre-formulation studies, compatibility assessments, and stability studies.

· Optimize formulations for drug substance delivery, ensuring efficacy, safety, and manufacturability.

· Develop robust and scalable manufacturing processes for drug products.

· Support process validation design and execution.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transfer processes from development to production.

· Troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality.

· Collaborate with analytical teams to interpret and analyze data, drawing meaningful conclusions.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project goals with corporate objectives.

· Provide regular updates on project progress to management and key stakeholders.

· Communicate complex scientific concepts and data to both technical and non-technical audiences.

· Participate in cross-functional meetings, presenting findings and recommendations.


Qualifications:


· Bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, chemical engineering or relevant engineering field with 5+ years of industry experience.

· Proven track record working in pharmaceutical development and process development.

· Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and experience in interacting with regulatory agencies.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Effective project management and leadership abilities.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

· Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related field with 1+ years of industry experience, or M.S. with 3+ years of experience.

· Experience with drug delivery is highly desirable. Knowledge of thermoset polymer molding a plus.


Salary – Commensurate with experience
