Project Engineer
The Project Engineer is responsible for the management of projects from the receipt of the customer order to the delivery, start up and final customer acceptance. This includes communicating with the commercial group, internal departments, outside resources and customer that the scope of design and budget is accurate.
Location - Burlington
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate execution of company equipment projects by:
o Regulator project meetings. o Proactive communication with all project stake holders.
o Maintain project schedule on a weekly basis. o Schedule equipment engineering, manufacturing, delivery, installation, and start-up activities.
o Monitor and inform management of discrepancies in budgeted major component costing including engineering, manufacturing, outside resources and service time allotment throughout the project.
o Manage equipment install, commissioning, obtain final customer acceptance sign off.
o Project documentation close out with customer and all internal project records are finalized. Good documentation practices (GDP) to be followed.
• Attend as required installation construction meetings, customer meetings or conduct installation site visits as necessary with install group.
• Delegate customer, engineering, and contractor technical inquires to appropriate department.
Qualifications :
o Bachelor of Science degree or Diploma in a field of Engineering. (Mechanical or Chemical preferred)
o 5 plus years project management experience (preferred) o Ability to travel 10%
o Knowledge of AutoCad as some drafting work is required to support the work
o Possess initiative and creative skills - ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
o Ability to work well under pressure of time constraints and to meet deadlines.
o Strong verbal and written communication skills , Ability to work and influence across functions teams.
o Possess strong attention to details
o Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Project
