Outside Technical Sales - Valves, Instruments, Actuators & Controls
Our client has a great opportunity for a high-performing Outside Sales Rep to help them meet their customer acquisition and revenue growth targets. The successful candidate will be leading the sales efforts of all their product lines. ie Valves, Instruments, actuators etc products.

Location - GTA and surrounding area
Our client has a great opportunity for a high-performing Salesperson to help achieve customer acquisition and revenue growth targets. The company is a leading manufacturer of valves, offering a full range of industrial valves, actuators, and control products. The Sales Manager will be responsible for the development and management of all channel partners and marketing of all related product lines.
Working as part of the sales team, this role will operate out of their Sarnia facility or home office and provide field coverage in the Chemical Valley and beyond. The successful candidate will have previously formed sales relationships within the valve/instrumentation market or a related industry.
Responsibilities:
• Achieve growth and corporate sales objectives as set out in Operating Plan.
• Develops forecasts and budgets for sales and marketing.
• Aid in the design and implementation of the corporate business plan that expands the company’s customer base, and develops new business opportunities.
• Ongoing analysis of competition and appropriate adjustment of plans.
• Work with channel partners to identify, quote, engineer, and close product and solution sales.
• Build and promote strong relationships with Channel Partners (distributors, manufacturing representatives, engineers/specifier and end users). Work with management and suppliers to provide business planning to reach product sales goals.
• Works with engineering to obtain drawing requirements for special applications or projects.
• Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with other function areas such as Inside Sales, Engineering, Production.
• Assist with growing the company image by collaborating with marketing to drive new opportunities and brand recognition.
Partner with Marketing and assist the General Manager and others to manage sales blitzes, trade shows, and other trade organizations to drive sales.
• Make organized and professional presentations demonstrating product knowledge and applicability to our channel partners’ product and service requirements.
• Contributes to the implementation and improvement of internal processes and procedures.
Personal Requirements
• Ability to maintain positive and constructive relationships internally and externally, even under difficult circumstances.
• Possess a strong sales and engineering knowledge of industrial valves/instruments/actuators and accessories.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills. Analytical skills with problem-solving attitude..
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines.
Education/Experience:
• Degree in management or a technical field, engineering degree preferred.
• Solid experience in industrial valve/instrumentation sales and distribution or related industry.
• Possess a strong client base within the local market.
• Prior experience working with engineers and municipalities to drive specification sales is an asset.
Salary - Commensurate with experience
