Senior Hydrogeologist

Our client has an exciting role for a Senior Hydrogeologist whom you will play a key role in a wide variety of physical and contaminant hydrogeology.



As the company Senior Hydrogeologist you will lead groundwater-related projects, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide expert advice to clients and project teams. You also serve as the lead P.Geo. for the organisation, setting direction for the Hydrogeology business in alignment with the company’s overall strategy.





Location - GTA


Key Responsibilities:


Leadership and Management: Lead the hydrogeology business, overseeing technical staff and providing mentorship and training opportunities.


Project Oversight: Manage and oversee hydrogeologic projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.


Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.


Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with provincial regulations, guidelines, and customer contracts.


Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the hydrogeology market.


Health & Safety: Foster and participate in a Health & Safety culture.


Reporting and Documentation: Create and enhance hydrogeology reporting templates, workflows, and automations.


Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with customers, partners, and regulatory bodies to facilitate effective application of hydrogeology principles during construction.


Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and support for geologic and hydrogeologic investigations, hydrogeologic testing, and groundwater flow modeling.



Qualifications:



Professional Certification: Hold a license under the Professional Engineers Act.


Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience as an environmental professional, with a focus on hydrogeologic investigations and groundwater modeling.


Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant hydrogeologic software (e.g., Modflow, FeFlow).


Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present detailed hydrogeologic information to both technical and non-technical audiences.


Operational Experience: Experience working around heavy machinery and understanding of related safety protocols.
