Senior Wastewater Engineer

Responsibilities
· Project planning, scheduling, allocation of personnel and resources, budgeting, overall supervision of project personnel, and communication with clients.
· Prepare and review reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.
· Conduct or supervise field investigations to acquire appropriate data while ensuring compliance with all health, safety and government regulations, Analysis of data and interpretation of results.
· Prepare and review Engineering Evaluation Reports, tender documents and specifications.
· Design of on-site sewage systems for both small and large subsurface disposal systems;
· Complete mass balance and nutrient dilution calculations for Reasonable Use Criteria;
· Prepare/write engineering design reports for Environmental Compliance Approvals;
· Ensure project completion is within schedule and budget to the quality level expected by clients.
· Retention of existing clients and acquisition of new clients.
· Valid license, Willing to travel to project sites and meetings as required.
Qualifications;
· Ten (10) years experience (preferred) in consulting in Ontario
· A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil, Environmental or Water Resources or Wastewater Engineering.
· Membership, in good standing, with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
· Thorough knowledge of and ability to interpret regulations, guidelines and standards.
· Knowledge of current applicable Building Codes, specifically Part 8, as well as MECP wastewater design guidelines.
· Experience managing project-related financial data.
· Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral.
· Proven ability to analyze data, write reports, provide quality control and assurance and present results to Clients.
· Comfort with business development initiatives, networking, client interaction, and building business.
· Strong computer skills, including all Microsoft Office components; Working knowledge of Hydrogeological Software such as Aquifer Test or Mod Flow would be an asset.
Salary – Commensurate with experience
